To mark the release of the second series of Heritage in Schools tutorials and to celebrate International Biodiversity Week we’re running another competition with a prize in four categories.
The Heritage Council, in association with Specialists from the Heritage in Schools Scheme Panel, is developing a suite of online tutorials for primary school children, their parents and teachers.

The Heritage Council has approved an allocation of additional funding to the Heritage in Schools Scheme for 2018. This funding will allow for an estimated 500 additional school visits.

Thanks to funding from Creative Ireland a project for Focus Ireland was planned around the Creative Ireland Programme for Children and Youths to ‘enable the creative potential of every child’.
Tuesday, 12th September: A new website aimed at increasing participation in the Heritage in Schools Scheme has been launched today by The Heritage Council. The new website (http://www.heritageinschools.i...) allows schools to find a local Heritage Expert and book a school visit, as well as access a range of classroom resources which teach children how to build a giant nest, create a butterfly garden or make their own family tree, for example.
