Castlecomer Discovery Park

Castlecomer Discovery Park is an approved Discovery Primary Science and Maths Centre with an exciting educational and recreational programme. Learning takes place in the great outdoors of the extensive 80 acres which includes woodland, lakes and streams and all activities are curriculum-linked. The Tree Top Adventure Walk makes the park a super venue for school tours.
The 'Primary School Science Day' is based around the Coal Mining Exhibition and incorporates activities which explore the plants and animals of the surrounding parkland. The DPS Programme runs from September to April. Primary School Tours combine educational and recreational activities and run during May and June, activities include:

- Invertebrate Collection
- Scavenger Hunt
- Nature Trail
