Brigit’s Garden offers a range of high-quality educational programmes for primary school students from infants to sixth class. Our 11-acre site incorporates woodland, a lake, wildflower meadows, a polytunnel, celtic gardens and a range of sustainable technologies. Exploring this unique outdoor setting with our experienced facilitators creates an unforgettable learning experience.

Seasonal workshops: Spring, Summer and Autumn
Bring the seasons to life at Brigit’s Garden with a range of activities such as pond-dipping, scavenger hunts, woodland discovery, seed sowing and more, depending on the season. Activities are hands-on and engage all the senses!

Nature’s Power Workshops: Energy, Climate Change and Renewable Technology
Investigate solar, hydro and wind technologies on site and even generate your own energy! Explore energy concepts such a food webs and insulation through fun group activities. Most importantly learn to care for the environment by taking action to reduce your carbon footprint!

Workshops are available for Engineer’s Week and the Galway Science Festival. Programmes are all-weather, with a range of indoor facilities and covered areas for wet weather. However, participants are advised to dress appropriately for the changeable Irish weather.
