"Michael has a great interest in his area and was able to transfer this to the children who love his visits."
"All teachers were very satisfied with the content covered by the visits, all content was age-appropriate, and all pupils were involved in hands-on activities. Excellent visit."
"Michael gave a very interesting, interactive, informative and engaging presentation to the children. It was the first occasion that many children had heard about how to grow vegetables and the care they needed. He explained clearly why things had to be done in such a manner. He answered all of their queries in a way they understood. As a follow-up, each child wrote an account of their experience, and included how much they had enjoyed the session. Michael gave all the children a strawberry plant to take home & each was received with great enthusiasm."
"The children always love these visits and find Michael very interesting and have always lots of questions for him."
"The children had a great day and we have a lovely raised bed garden as a result of this visit."
"Michael was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed his visit." - Ballymacarbry NS, Waterford
"Michael Costelloe and he called to our school in February 2017 to advise us on what we needed to do for our biodiversity flag. He explained what we needed to have in place before his visit. He brought plants and seeds with him (and LOADS OF KNOWLEDGE). In spring 2018, after long winter, Michael was again ready to offer advice re the seeds to grow, the preparation of the ground and the care needed for the plants. In May we received our Green Flag for biodiversity. I would like to pass on though you and the Heritage Council, our sincere thanks to Michael. He is a fount of knowledge on plants, biodiversity etc. I would recommend a visit from Michael to any school who is setting out to work on the Green Flag for biodiversity." - Anon.
