100 free Heritage in Schools visits for National Biodiversity Week

To celebrate National Biodiversity Week 2023 the Heritage Council is offering 100 free Heritage in Schools visits to primary schools.

Visit content must relate to biodiversity and must take place between 19 and 28 May 2023.

To apply for a free visit:

1 .Visit the Heritage in Schools website www.heritageinschools.ie and browse our Heritage Specialists. Select your county from the drop-down menu and enter ‘biodiversity’ into the ‘search topic’

2. Contact the Heritage in Schools Specialist to arrange a date and then select ‘book a visit’ on that Specialist’s profile page


3. Enter ‘BIODIVERSITY WEEK’ in the following field

'Please provide a short summary of what you would like the Heritage Expert to cover and what the expected learning outcomes will be:'

4. You will receive an email with a reference number when your free visit is approved.  The offer is limited to one free visit per school and will be allocated on a first come basis
