Eamonn is an experienced primary school teacher having worked as a Principal and class teacher in both rural and urban schools. He has written and lectured widely on history, geography, local studies and folklore. He has written schoolbooks and has lectured on history, geography, local studies and folklore. Eamonn is a member of the Longford Decade of Centenaries committee, the Longford Creative Ireland committee and is a Cultural Officer of Longford GAA . He informs children about the wonders of their county using storytelling and field trips.

- Local Geography - discovering and understanding the landscape and the treasures within
- Recording trips through the medium of art and photography and using the experience for creativity
