Helena Golden is a Leitrim basketmaker, willow grower and Heritage Specialist. Through practical, hands-on workshops, students explore Ireland's basketmaking traditions, from willow growing and harvesting through to weaving a finished traditional basket or contemporary piece. Students discover the integral role baskets played in everyday life, both in the home and on the farm. Workshops promote creativity, problem-solving and active learning.
