Heritage in Schools Roadshow visits Sligo
On Friday, 19th September, our Heritage in Schools Roadshow visited Sligo. In collaboration with Sligo Education Centre and the Heritage and Biodiversity Officers from Sligo County Council, we hosted a day of fun and interactive heritage workshops.
Local primary schools participated in a morning of engaging, hands-on taster sessions in weaving, archaeology, biodiversity, and heritage crafts, giving children and their teachers an immersive experience of Ireland’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
A huge thanks to the schools who participated, our wonderful team of Heritage in Schools Specialists, Daragh McDaid and the staff at Sligo Education Centre and Siobhán Ryan and Ruth Hanniffy from Sligo County Council.
