Tullynally Castle

Tullynally Castle

The name Tullynally is an adaption of Tulaigh an Eallaigh – the Hill of the Swan. The hill overlooks Lough Derravaragh, the legendary lake of the Children of Lir who were turned into swans and so the name has some connection with the legend.

As the castle is a private family home it is not open to casual visitors, but tours of the castle can usually be arranged for groups (minimum 20) by appointment. Please contact info@tullynallycastle.ie for available dates and charges.
