As an established traditional singer, researcher and educator, Fionnuala seeks to encourage both teachers and pupils to engage with their local heritage through songs, folklore, stories and music to gain a deeper awareness and appreciation of our culture and other cultures within our community. Her visits are interactive, informative and engaging.

School visits can cover a broad range of topics from birds to bees, creepy crawlies to trees, and everything in between! Workshops blend interactive slideshows, practical conservation crafts, fun props and outdoor exploration and as with everything we do we aim to keep things simple, fun and sciencey!

Ellie at EOL brings her infectious enthusiasm and love for native fauna and flora to the hearts of children of all ages through workshops and forest school programs, delivered on or off school site.

During a virtual visit David and Sinead explain the concept of pollination and how this leads to the formation of seeds and fruits.

David's classroom activities include engaging sessions on the tides, identifying marine organisms and talks about living marine animals which David brings into the classroom!

An experienced Forest School leader, Veronica values the Forest School ethos as a way for children to learn holistically through regular nature connection. Margaret is an artist with a passion for the stories hidden in our landscape that describe the sense of place, and our rich mythology, so much of which has been lost through translation. Her workshops allow children to express through creative means, the legends, stories and geography of their local area.

Brenda specialises in Ireland’s native hedgerows, trees and shrubs and would like to bring her lifelong interest in willow and coppice crafts, and hedgerow and woodland produce to your classroom.

An award-winning writer of children’s books set in Ireland, E.R. Murray is passionate about connecting with myth and legend, our natural world, and local landscapes, to bring Irish heritage to life through the power of story in all its forms.

Sarah offers workshops in medieval history, Ireland’s myths and legends, mindfulness, storytelling and local history, all tailored to fit your pupils needs. Sarah provides outdoor field trips to historical sites near your school which include personalised worksheets, arts and crafts.

Niamh Ní Dhúill offers a range of workshops based around creating Natural Wild Gardens. I offer guided nature walks to discover and connect with the nature and local history in and around your school grounds. This includes learning about and connecting with some of our most common plants and habitats.

The story of pollinators, seeds and food: Children will be introduced to common wild pollinator species, why native wild flowers are important for their survival and why and how do plants produce seed and food.

As an enthusiastic dinnseanchaí or local storyteller with Gormú the company I co-founded, I specialise in unveiling the rich layers of Irish placenames, folklore, and stories. I also love to use words from the Irish language to paint a vivid image of Ireland’s cultural landscape and history.

Seosamh is a storyteller and tells tales for all ages through Irish and English. His stories include Irish folktales, stories in rhyme and song and stories from picture books for the younger classes.

Deirdre's programmes offer a choice of many different options from architectural and rural landscapes, flora & fauna, local history, local resources and traditional crafts. She is trained in genealogy, local history and folk tradition and lore, and has a programme which will allow children to explore the past pupils of their school and recreate their own record for future generations of their school.
