Tom's breath of knowledge and engaging delivery ensures that Ireland's history is illuminated in a fun way for the children. Pupils can gain a sense of ownership and fulfilment from Tom's learning approach which encourages a two-way conversation and the development of the children's curiosity about their shared past.

The children will also be able to handle and examine various historical artefacts. Visits can be tailored to the needs of each particular school. Tom holds a BA Hons in Irish History and Politics from the University of Ulster. He has worked with the University of Ulster, NUIG, National Museum of Ireland, OPW, The Heritage Council, Galway County Council, History Ireland magazine and various media groups. He has also written a number of historical publications including A primary school teachers guide to History (Teachers' resource pack 2013).

  • "The best heritage delivery to schools from a history point of view. Tomás is so passionate and this love for local history transferred so easily to all the children. Dressing up in period style clothing etc. really fuelled their interest."
  • "Tomas was brilliant with the kids and had so many interesting stories to tell them. They were engaged for the whole day and had great fun dressing up and seeing all of the armour and weapons and how to create war wounds. Would highly recommend to other teachers. Amount of resources brought to the school was also excellent. Brilliant day was had!" - Woodland N.S.
