Kate uses the local environment as a learning landscape to help the children learn about the geography and geology of their locality in a hands-on way. During a visit, Kate takes the children on an investigation of the local landscape, revealing the surprising stories that the rocks can tell us about the formation of the place. The children investigate the shapes and features that are unique to their landscape and how the land is used, through interactive games and group activities. Topics are tailored to meet the needs of each class-group or school.

Kate is a highly-qualified geologist who has provided teacher training and has 5-years experience teaching Geography to 11-18 year olds.
