Heather is a lifelong birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast. She brings a variety of living things in to the classroom for the children to explore first hand - unusual plants, flowers, leaves, berries and bugs. In the outdoors, the children have the opportunity to use pond-dipping equipment, moth traps, pitfall traps, insect-catching equipment, binoculars, and spotting scopes (all provided).
Heather also uses a range of materials in the classroom, including slides, bird-song tapes, games and wildlife pictures. Heather has a degree in Zoology and also has many years' experience working in the area of horticulture.
