Gordon's engaging visits take place both in the classroom and out and about in nature. Gordon guides the children in drawing some of their favourite animals or plants. The images become the focus for learning about ecology, migration, folklore, Irish history and place names etc. In a habitat near the school, Gordon encourages the children to engage with nature through the senses of sight, sound and smell. The ideal combination is a field trip followed by an art session based on what the children encountered in the outdoors.
