A visit from Zane takes place either in the school grounds or in a local park or forest. Field trips to Zanes native woodland at 'Nature School' can also be arranged. Students explore and discover their natural environment through interactive games and fun, hands-on activities. Bernard encourages the school to continue using the outdoor environment as a place to learn after his visits. Every visit is tailored to be a unique and enjoyable experience for all age groups and interests.

Zane and her husband Bernard have spent over 10 years developing one of Ireland's first native woodlands under the Native Woodland Scheme on their farm in Co. Mayo. They currently run 'Nature School' on the woodland, where both children and adults are encouraged to rediscover their connection with nature through training courses and activities such as native woodland management, charcoal-making, wattle building and nature walks.
