Shane lives and breaths his work and is passionate and excited about connecting children to nature while also crafting learning opportunities for multiple learning styles. After six years as an environmental consultant and project manager he found his true calling, working with children in the outdoors, and has spent the last five years following this interest and learning and growing along the way.

This year, inspired by Forest School training undetaken in 2016, he started his own company, Wild Places, and has been delivering multi-week programs, working with schools in Wexford and Dublin as well as running after-school, weekend and holiday programs in woodlands around the country.

He has experience  facilitating single and multi-day nature connection and nature-based learning experiences, in woodland settings and delivering sustainability programs under the themes of land, water and biodiversity using interactive games, small group discussion ,creative projects and hands-on demonstrations.
