Paddy is passionate about the great outdoors and has a wealth of knowledge about the natural environment - including trees, flowers, wild herbs, birds and butterflies. Paddy likes to bring the children on woodland walks and along river and country paths, exploring whatever the season and location might present.
The children may also visit Paddys 12 acres of native woodland and ancient meadow (Feevagh Woods) just outside Athlone. The site is rich in terms of biodiversity and a great place for children to experience first-hand the wonders of nature. The children investigate both new and traditional methods of energy conservation - including wooden cabins with solar panels, sheep's wool insulation and water collection technology. Paddy is also very interested in our Christian heritage and in linking ecology and care for our earth with our Christian past.
