Michael provides a series of fun and interactive workshops which present all ages of Irish history to the children in fun and engaging ways. Periods of history include the Stone Age, the Celts, the Vikings, the Norman invasion, the Tudor times, 1690 - The Battle of the Boyne, the 1798 Rebellions, the Famine and the Easter Rising of 1916.
Michael also demonstrates museum quality replicas during his visits. The children are encouraged to dress in the appropriate period costume, test out weapons, wear armour and use the artefacts of the time. The children learn about what life was like for our ancestors and to appreciate our unique cultural heritage.

"Every day objects used to terrific effect. Children loved Mike. We first met him in Mullingar library giving a history talk to 5th and 6th - from this we invited him to school. he went down a storm with the whole school. Story-telling with Junior and Senior infants was terrific. Mike very adaptable and can tailor his talks to suit all age groups."
"A fantastic workshop for each class. Mike has so many objects from the past between dressing up in clothes; tools; weapons that totally immerse the pupils in the topics. His presentation style is amazing, all pupils in all classes were entranced. Thank you so much and we look forward to hopefully organizing another one next year."

"Michael not only has a wealth of information within him but he is a superb story teller who had the children hooked on his every word from minute one. He had a wonderful way with the children and made the workshop incredibly interactive allowing many of the children an opportunity to take part and handle all of the historical objects which he brought with him.
