Using the school grounds as the outdoor classroom Gráinne offers a hands-on day or series of days packed with activities. She is happy to tailor the tasks to suit the needs of the children and school.
Garden design and creation, sowing and growing from seed to seed, biodiversity audit, habitat creation and enhancement, animal behaviour games, scavenger hunts, nature art and craft are some of the activities to choose from.
Gráinne, a keen gardener, has 17 years’ experience as a primary teacher. She has been engaged in environmental education for more than 10 years and is passionate about facilitating the connection with nature that is so important for our well-being. She is a co-founder of Happy Out Forest School and brings a flavour of this to the day.
