Elaine's workshop's link to many of the strands in the curriculum. With a blend of her own learning gleaned from the social sciences and fine art, she aims to make the workshop experience magical for the young participants.
When invited she works with the school staff on ideas they hope to realise, and then works with the children to create something permanent for the outdoor space.
In-person school visits
Elaine's workshops will provide children with the understanding of the needs of pollinators.
She will engage with them to do their own assessment of the quality of the existing biodiversity in their own school garden and immediate surroundings.
They will be ones to suggest how to remedy the situation if the diversity of plant selection is poor.
