Dale is well known on the Scheme for his boundless enthusiasm for all things in the world of nature. Dales visits introduce the children to the 5 Bs of Biodiversity: bugs; butterflies; bees; bats and birds through interactive, fun and hands-on activities. Dale also undertakes the Pollinator Project with the children, with Dale providing plants and assisting the children in the creation of their very own garden for butterflies and bees. Dale has worked with the Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service and presented on childrens television in Ireland for 10 years. He is also the designer of two Bloom childrens garden features entitled - Muck and Magic and Gondwanaland Dinosaurs. Dale is the author of Harry the Hedgehog will you be my friend? and Robby the Christmas Robin.
New for the 2017/18 school year Dale has a new theme and some cretaceous creatures. Dinosaurs are always a favorate topic and this year Dale intends to bring them to life in your own classroom.

"Dale was a true professional but his engagement with the children was truly wonderful as was his ability to include all children including those with Special Educational Needs. His ability to engage the children in active learning and discovery is remarkable and the children were so keen to learn, to participate and to discover more and more with Dale's leadership, fun, animation and guidance. The ideas and topics were gauged appropriately for the children in my class and they thoroughly enjoyed the visit. It was so much fun and so informative. A real treat!"
"Children really enjoyed Dale's visit!"
"This visit was the most AMAZING visit the children have had! Even after a busy long St Patrick's day weekend the children are still talking about Dale and his visit. He was so great. He pitched his talks at different levels for each multi-grade classroom. He had an immediate rapport with all the children. We all enjoyed his visit. Absolutely fantastic!" - St. John's N.S., Longford
